The Popular Show Season Four Introduces the Soldiers Party

Since the launch of the fourth campaign, fresh DM Brennan Lee Mulligan has kept viewers on edge with deep backstory, a diverse cast of heroes, and a thrilling plot showcasing divine entities, evil spirits, and sinister influences increasing in strength within Dol-Makjar.

Warning: Spoilers for the third episode of Campaign 4 are included.

The Warrior Group Unveiled

The third episode concluded with a major cliffhanger and revealed the premier party of heroes who will branch out from the main group to embark on their independent quest, distinct from the additional parties.

The combat-focused team features Teor Pridesire (brought to life by Travis), the agile character (Laura Bailey), the fierce warrior (the cast member), the cleric (the player), and Kattigan (the actor).

Dividing the Cast

With an extensive roster, it was evident from the start that keeping everyone at the same party would be unfeasible.

This explains, the initial installments of Campaign 4 serve as an Introduction, connecting the individual narratives before splitting into three distinct groups: Warriors, Strategists, and Questers.

What Defines the Warrior Group

According to Brennan Lee Mulligan, the warrior group is for participants who prefer a typically action-packed fight-heavy narrative style where peaceful solutions are rare.

Upon first impression, figures such as the squeamish cleric Wicander Halovar might look unsuited, but the events of episode 3 make it clear why these five characters are ideally matched for the warrior group.

Reasons to Leave

To begin with, the party knows exactly where to proceed after a violent opening clash with the antagonists.

An old friend of the deceased character—whose death started the campaign’s events—exploited the enemy for his personal gain, breaking into Thjazi’s hideout, assaulting the rogue, and swiping all the magical artifacts to auction.

The traitor then settled his liabilities and escaped to a secure base in Gormalay, Timmony, above the city, with Cyd Pridesire pursuing him.

Character Drivers

Moreover, each character has a specific drive to depart the urban setting:

  • The agile hero, as the companion and closest confidant, desires revenge.
  • Kattigan knows Timmony and warns that it is a dangerous place.
  • The warrior and Wicander, having disobeyed his family’s wishes to execute the fighter and instead rescued him, have no other options.
  • Yet, their position as key figures in House Halovar could help the party enter areas they usually can’t.
  • Furthermore, The grateful character swore a eternal obligation to The cleric for his rescue and will now accompany him anywhere.

Fugitives

Finally, all of them are hunted by the rulers that control the city for a variety of reasons, making lingering locally no longer safe:

  • The rogue and Kattigan are known criminals.
  • The strong figure and The healer betrayed the influential house and the horde of evil beings they are allied with.
  • The fighter is wanted dead by House Halovar.

This results in them no alternative but to journey toward the northern region in pursuit of Casimir.

Future Episodes

From the recent installment’s post-show segment, we discover that the Soldiers table won’t be around the following episode, leaving the rest of the cast members to form the Seekers and Strategists groups.

Fans can expect learning which players will be in which group in the story’s final introductory chapter, available to watch on October 24.
